How to be Saved

  • CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH
  • BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART
  • CALL ON THE NAME JESUS AS GOD (LORD)

Romans 10:9-13  9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 16:27
And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

John 3:17,18
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Romans 3:28
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Galatians 3:6-11
6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

  • There is NOTHING YOU CAN DO to become acceptable to God except believe in the life and works of Jesus and learn of Him.
  • Jesus became a man in the flesh and lived a PERFECT life without sin and therefore fulfilled the requirements of the law and prepared the way to heaven.
  • The law required DEATH therefore JESUS GAVE HIS LIFE as a ransom or payment to do away with sin.
  • He gave us the GIFT of reconciliation to God through His Blood because He became the WAY to Heaven.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus said, "It Is Finished" on the cross meaning that all of the work was complete which means that sin was destroyed and the way was prepared.
